February 3 – February 14, 2025

A production was realized in the workshop carried out within the scope of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Çanakkale Ceramics Research Development and Application Center Guest Artist Program for 10 days with the contributions of the workshop staff.

Gülfidan Özmen’s exhibition titled “Tomorrow” consists of Çanakkale’s characteristic ceramic production techniques with the artist’s various sized forms, installations, objects she collected, and materials she collected from nature.
The artist creates a plastic and visual language through her compositions created with free ceramic forms that connect with traditional Çanakkale ceramics, materials she has collected from nature on the shores of Çanakkale, paper, metal, and found objects.

As in her other works, the artist’s process of organizing and displaying the units is directly related to the archaeological sites, ruins and aerial photographs that inspired her, both physically and symbolically. At the same time, in this workshop, the artist reflected material-specific application methods such as color, brush decoration and glaze applications specific to traditional Çanakkale ceramics in her works.
